Little do they realize what greatness they have been held captive in.
Who can slay the immortal spirit?
Who abandons all desires and lives and acts free from longing, who has no “I” or “mine”?
That (higher being) which is to all creatures a night, is to the self-mastering sage her waking (her luminous day of true being, knowledge and power); the life of the dualities which is to them their waking (their day, their consciousness, their bright condition of activity) is a night (a troubled sleep and darkness of the soul) to the sage who sees.
This is not born, nor does it die, nor is it a thing that comes into being once and passing away will never come into being again. It is unborn, ancient, sempiternal; it is not slain with the slaying of the body.
I will not fight.
Therefore arise, get thee glory, conquer thy enemies and enjoy an opulent kingdom.
Unattached to those actions, she is equal-visioned everywhere.
On this path no effort is lost, no obstacle prevails; even a little of this, delivers from the great fear.
This word of the highest spiritual secret of existence. Thou hast spoken out of compassion for me, for us; by this my delusion is dispelled.
